After her early beginnings at the Freie Kunstschule in Stuttgart, Susanne Sterk studied product design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Pforzheim and at the University of Illinois in Chicago. In her work, she moves playfully between figurativeness and abstraction, and in her faces and body studies she repeatedly explores the limits of representability and the perceptibility of human emotions. In the realisation of her works, she prefers to use the line, in front of which Susanne Sterk's joy of experimentation does not stop there.
