Jukka Rusanen captures movement in the shape of paint on canvas. The work ›Positon‹ reveals itself in my eyes as a homage to the artistic duct. In my perception, these heavy, powerful brushstrokes constantly oscillate between incidental expressiveness and well-thought-out fineness. The fact that an association with a bouquet of flowers arises when looking at this reduced colour spectacle is hardly surprising when considering Jukka Rusanen's oeuvre as a whole. Again and again, the artist takes us on a journey through art history and takes the eternal dispute between line and colour to absurdity. In addition to the consequence of the work's content, an almost banal fact stands out: it is beautiful!
