Kategorie: Michael Erbach

Michael Erbach studied industrial design at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Pratt Institute New York. He developed a legend for his own artistic work, similar to the explanation of signs on a map, and bases his works on it. He attributes a certain validity to every form and every colour. In this he is guided by the theories of the Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, who is regarded as an important artistic figure of classical modernism. Erbach's works are colour-intensive compositions that reveal themselves as a formation of point, line and symbol in combination with colours. "Aesthetic perception is subjective," says Michael Erbach himself, and invites subjective contemplation of his works.
