The fascination of Sandra Schlipkoeter's canvas works lies in those moments that are not visible to us. On the one hand, this is the reference to time, and on the other, the preoccupation with a physical, actually invisible phenomenon. The ›interferenz 5021‹ captivates my gaze again and again, draws me under its spell. The pleasure of looking at the fine, well thought-out, purposefully placed and mutually overlapping coloured lines never fades.
And again and again, one assures oneself anew: "Is that really painted?". Sandra Schlipkoeter demonstrates this concentrated, clear-lined approach not only on canvas, but also in her enchanting papercuts.
